The members of the business group have extensive experience in counseling businesses in day-to-day, as well as strategic operating matters, such as employment issues; tax matters; preparation and implementation of necessary corporate agreements, such as purchase orders, terms and conditions, and the like; capitalization, including the intricacies of borrowing from financial institutions or from the market; obtaining equity capital through private placements and otherwise; computer management; expansion of business by acquisition or otherwise; reorganization of business by acquisition, merger, or consolidation; and planning for the orderly transfer of business through estate planning and shareholder agreements.
The business group will also work with the litigation group in managing business disputes that develop into litigation and situations suitable for alternative dispute resolution, such as arbitration and mediation. <back more>
