Jeff Hastings has been practicing law for almost 20 years and is currently Chairman of the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections. He was also a former judge on the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas, managing attorney for two Ohio Attorney Generals and Chairman of the Ohio Athletic Commission. Jeff Hastings specializes in both criminal law and civil litigation where he has presided over and/or tried more than 100 trials. He also provides mediation and arbitration services as well as handles business law, receivership and probate matters. He operates a full service law firm representing his clients in federal, county and municipal courts in all of Ohio’s 88 counties and provides a broad range of high quality legal services to a wide variety of business and individual clients. He is a member of the Ohio State Bar and Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Associations, along with the Ohio Common Pleas Judges Association, Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Cuyahoga County Defense Lawyers Association and a Life Member of the Judicial Conference of the Eighth Judicial District.

A graduate of Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, he was admitted to the Ohio Bar, the United States District Court, Northern District of Ohio and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit in 1991. He obtained his M.B.A. from Baldwin-Wallace College in 1987 and received his B.A. in Political Science and Economics from Ashland University in 1982.
